Pashupatinath temple

There is a city in the beautiful mountains of the Himalayas of Nepal which used to be a pond of deep water centuries ago and there used to live different types of snakes in that pond Seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites Tantra Vidya and the biggest open cremation ground This city is known for and the pashupatinath Temple built here in the honor of Lord Shiva There are many secrets hidden in every part of the city about which very few people know April A dangerous earthquake shook the city of Kathmandu As soon as the city was shaken, the shops and houses in the city turned into a pile of mud and under this pile, 9000 people were crushed who had to face a painful death But there was also a place where this dangerous earthquake could not harm anything There is a magnificent temple on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu where you can see about 1100 Shiva Lingas at a time This is the Pashupatinath Temple built in the honor of Lord Shiva and this temple and the Shiva Lingas here have many different stories According to a story written in the Nepal Mahatmya There is a Shiva Linga named Swambhu in the Pashupatinath Temple Swambhu means the one who appeared by himself and after that Kathmandu was called the land of Lord Shiva According to this story, one day Lord Shiva left his Dham and came to earth Then he stopped on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu and being attracted by the beauty here, he decided to stay there for a while When Lord Shiva did not return to his Dham for a long time then all the deities started getting worried Then Lord Vishnu saw with his divine power that Lord Shiva is resting on the banks of the Bagmati River in the form of a deer After which Lord Vishnu himself came to earth to take Lord Shiva back with him But as soon as Lord Shiva, sitting in the form of a deer, saw him he immediately started running from here to there In an attempt to stop him, Lord Vishnu caught the horn of the deer But as soon as he touched it, the horn broke and fell on the ground After which Lord Shiva took his original form and he returned to his Dham It is said that after a while, a Shiva Linga appeared at the place where the horn had fallen And today this Shiva Linga, which is called Mukha Linga is the biggest attraction of the Pashupatinath Temple It is believed that this Shiva Linga has four faces which represent the four different forms of Lord Shiva But according to some ancient tantric texts this Shiva Linga also has a fifth face which is associated with Tantra And this face is called Kaalagni Rudra It is said that this face represents things like procreation and Sambhog And only the sages who know tantric knowledge can see this face There are many such unspoken stories and countless secrets associated with our ancient temples and cities The stories associated with them are lost somewhere in the pages of history And we keep bringing these same unspoken, unseen, untold In2015, when that terrible earthquake hit Kathmandu There was one more place apart from Pashupatinath which was completely safe The Kumari Ghar here Which is a palace where a living Goddess resides The Kumari Devi of Kathmandu is a child Who is raised from an ordinary life at night and is given the status of a Goddess A 5 year old girl is suddenly separated from her parents And the crying girl is taken to a small room In that room, there is only a dim light of a few lamps And the girl is unable to see anything Being alone, the girl starts shivering with fear Then she sees the priest standing in front of her Who is chanting some mantras with his eyes closed Before she can ask him anything She suddenly feels a different energy in her body And all her fear disappears She feels as if she has a lot of power in her She starts talking What is happening to me? Why do I suddenly feel as if I have become very powerful? Hearing this, the priest opens his eyes And smiles and says to the girl This is the power of Goddess Durga Which resides in you And that is why you are the Kumari of this place A living Goddess This tradition of Kumari Ghar has been going on in Kathmandu for centuries In which a girl from the Shakya caste is chosen with the help of her magical form and mantra And is made the Kumari Devi Locals believe that this tradition was started by a king of the Malla caste Who said that Goddess Durga herself came in his dream And told him to start this tradition But there is a condition to this tradition Because of which the Kumari of this place can stay here only till the youth starts After which it is time to choose a new Kumari And the first Kumari returns to the ordinary life The priests here believe that due to changes in the body and mind in the youth The mind of a person gets disturbed And in such a situation, the divine power of the Goddess cannot stay within him And so he goes to another girl Whose mind is pure It is said that in Kumari Ghar, apart from the Kumari and the priests Any outsider is strictly prohibited from entering There are some rituals and rituals here Which are only a deep secret for the people of the world An ancient knowledge of Hindu religion In which sacrifice, blood, possibility and many such things are depicted Which are not included in the ordinary religious worship And there are many such places in the world Which are known for tantra and tantric knowledge One of which is the Nara Devi Temple in Kathmandu Which is built in the honor of Shweta Kali Devi Which is considered to be the center of tantric practices According to a famous story Once the king of Patan had come to the forest of Kathmandu for hunting Where suddenly a wild elephant attacked him And he started running away, saving his life While running, he saw a big tree In which there was a big place like a cave He hid himself in it But due to fatigue and fear, he soon fainted After a while, when he regained consciousness He found Ma Shweta Kali in front of him And he immediately joined his hands and stood in front of Ma Now your life is not in danger, you can live Saying this, Ma disappeared from there It is said that after this incident That king built the Nara Devi temple in the same place Which is known today as the center of tantric practices and worship According to tantric texts Sacrificing and offering blood at the feet of Devi Ma Is an important part of tantric practices And that is why every year on Vijayadashami A buffalo is sacrificed in this temple Along with the Nara Devi Temple In many temples of Kathmandu The tradition of tantric knowledge and sacrifice has been going on for centuries According to Atharva Veda and Yajur Veda Lord Shiva is known as Tantra Devta And that is why Lord Shiva's Kaal Bhairav form is worshipped in tantric knowledge In 2005 a cultural study conducted in Kathmandu It was said that once a year On the full moon night In the temple of Kirtimukha Bhairav Tantric worship is done In which five sacrifices That is, by sacrificing five different animals And offering them to Kirtimukha Bhairav Kirtimukha Bhairav is the most dangerous form of Kaal Bhairav And this five sacrifice ritual Is done to please Kirtimukha Bhairav Mukti, Salvation That is, getting rid of death and rebirth And attaining salvation And with this desire People come to visit the Pashupatinath Temple of Kathmandu But coming here People face such a reality of life Which terrifies them Because Where on one side, worship and devotional songs are being sung in the temple On the other side, open fire pyres are burning. One part of Kathmandu's Pashupatinath temple is used as a cremation ground. The body of the deceased is brought to the Aarya Ghat. He is wrapped in a cloth and then taken to the banks of the river Bagmati. His feet are washed with the holy water of the river. After this, the body is laid on the earth and taken for the last rites. Which is done openly. And it is said that whoever has the last rites at the Aarya Ghat, his soul is freed from the cycle of karma and goes on the path of salvation. Although many stories, stories and untold secrets are associated with Kathmandu city, but this city is also known for the two main religions of Nepal, Hinduism and Buddhism.
